64 Bit iso image won‘t boot

Post by Woga65 » Sat Oct 19, 2024 3:30 pm

Hello folks!
I have burnt the 64bit iso image from the MenuetOS Downloads section to a CD an tried to boot. I am getting to the screen where i can change or autodetect the settings. When trying to continue the boot process, I am getting a black screen along with a frozen system.

Hardware:
MSI X99A pro carbon
Xeon E5-2696 (22C/44T)
RTX4060 TI, 16GB
128GB RAM

Is there any way to get past the pre-booting screen?

You could try different bootup configurations, but I'll add more displayed info during the bootup..

Thanks for the reply.
I‘ve tried different display resolution like 1080p, 720p, 1024x768, etc. Also, I‘ve tried to get a core dump, to no avail.

I had a similar problem under VMWare and I solved it by first editing the config, option 3, then pressing F5 it would not boot, it would be stuck with the pre-boot text and a blinking cursor. I pressed 2 for auto config and it booted and also picked up the lines that I had previously modified. I am not getting my soundcard to work yet, but everything else works fine including networking, physical CD and virtual hard drive.
