Sept 2004 Version 0.78 pre3 released New screen layout, with a new panel application, graphics designed by Andrew Youll. The menus, applications and icons are completely under user control now - just edit MPANEL.DAT to make changes. You do not need to re-boot for changes to take effect. Ville has added an option to Window creation ( fn 0 ) to allow an application window to be unmovable, and an option to button creation ( fn 8 ) to allow it to not have a rectangle drawn around it when pressed. Mike Semenyako has improved the icon app so the text can be seen on light backgrounds. New background image by Andrew Youll. Mario79 has added a bug fix for the reporting of free space on FAT32 partitions. Sept 2004 New applications added to download page The freecell card game has been written for Menuet by Alexandr Gorbovets. Evgeni Pavlushin has updated his file browser Sysxtree, and produced some cute 3D demos. The files are on the applications page [here]. August 2004 Version 0.78 pre2 released New screen layout, with .ico support for the desktop icons by mike.dld, and new icons from Andrew Youll. Ville has fixed a bug in the vesa1.2 background drawing routines, and mario79 has implement automatic memory detection at startup. I've improved the launcher app; It now takes the list of applications to start automatically from a textfile, so if you dont like having a jpeg image on the desktop, you can got back to PIC4! August 2004 Dutch Menuetos website linked This site also supports English. It has an easy windows installer for the latest release. August 2004 Version 0.78 pre1 is out! Take a look at the release notes on the download page for details. Bug fixes, new ethernet driver, ftp server and a new system function - resizing or moving application windows. July 2004 I have added a link to a Menuet website in Portuguese. This website was the inspiration for the new look & feel of menuetos.org (ie, I copied it!) I have added a screenshot of a Chinese language version of menuet - check it out, it looks great! July 2004 After 4 years of effort, from original concept to what we have today, Ville is now moving on to new projects. He has handed over maintenance of Menuet to Mike Hibbett (me!). Ville will still be around, both on the forum and IRC, but has stepped back from the daily chore of bug fixes and patch management. Thanks Ville, and best wishes with your new projects!
